Corpus Christi Mass and Procession 2011

Monday, July 18th, 2011

On June 26th, EWTN celebrated the annual Corpus Christi Mass and Procession on the campus grounds.  The beautiful procession began immediately after the Mass.  Fr. Anthony Mary, the main celebrant, carried the monstrance holding the Blessed Sacrament around the network and paused at two outdoor altars for silent adoration and benediction.  All of the friars in Irondale were involved in setting up the altars and Brs. Tarcisius, Pio, and Matthew were assigned to emcee the celebration.

We wish to thank David Biddle for helping us take photos and Adele Gilbert for her assistance with acquiring and preparing the flower pedals as well as assisting with the flower girls.  Also, thanks to all the altar boys, flower girls, parents, and Knights of Columbus for helping to make this a joyous and reverent occasion.

Despite the heat and humidity, the procession was an excellent way to honor and adore Our Lord present in the Blessed Sacrament.
