Perpetual Profession of Br. Tarcisius

Monday, June 18th, 2012

While all perpetually professed friars of the Franciscan Missionaries of the Eternal Word traveled hundreds of miles to enter the community from cities within the United States, one man, Br. Tarcisius Maria courageously traveled thousands of miles, crossing cities, states, countries and even an entire continent to become a Franciscan permanent brother.

Residing in Rosario, Argentina, Martin Bucca moved by his love for Christ and St. Francis of Assisi, left his native land and entered the Franciscan Missionaries of the Eternal Word in October of 2004.  On August 15th 2005, Martin received the Franciscan habit and was given the name Br. Tarcisius Maria Sedes Sapientiae.

After his first profession of vows in August of 2006, Br. Tarcisius renewed them annually for six years and on May 31, 2012, Brother professed perpetual vows, forever vowing to live in poverty, chastity and obedience as a servant of Jesus Christ and son of St. Francis.  The Franciscan Missionaries of the Eternal Word is thankful and grateful to God for Br. Tarcisius and the joy he brings to the Community.
