A pilgrim statue of Our Lady of Fatima was recently brought to the Friary by our cook, Paul Pallotto, who gave an exhortation to the friars about Our Lady of Fatima. The pilgrim statue of Our Lady stayed at the Friary Chapel during the month of May. The friars later had a procession with the statue around the property while praying the rosary. Devotion to the Blessed Mother is very important to the Friars. We agree with St. Louis Marie de Montfort, who wrote in his treatise, True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin, that Our Lady “is the safest, easiest, shortest and most perfect way of approaching Jesus….” In imitation of Jesus Christ, we seek to honor, love and respect Our Lady, who was given to us as our mother at the foot of the cross.
