The Sacred Triduum

In the Sacred Triduum, the Church solemnly celebrates the greatest mysteries of our

redemption, keeping by means of special celebrations the memorial of her Lord, crucified,

buried, and risen.

Holy Thursday the friars celebrated the memorial of the Lord’s Supper. On the night before He died, Our Lord instituted the Holy Eucharist and the Priestly Order. With great joy we gave thanks to God for always being with His faithful through the sacramental ministry of His priests. Please continue to pray with us for Rev. Brs. Leonard and Patrick as they prepare for ordination to the Priesthood.

Good Friday we made the Way of the Cross and then remembered the Passion of the Lord and with loving heart adored the wood of the Cross. The Solemn Intercessions of the Good Friday celebration were especially moving this year as we prayed for the salvation of the whole world.

Finally, the greatest and most noble of all solemnities we celebrated during the Easter Vigil. After everyone joined us for the blessing of the Easter fire, Deacon Patrick chanted beautifully the newly translated Easter Proclamation. We heard the essential story of salvation by the proclamation of all nine readings. May the light of the Easter mystery ever burn brightly in our hearts!
