Brs. Leo and Tarcisius recently traveled to Charlotte, North Carolina to visit with the Poor Clare nuns and to attend the Investiture and Profession of a new nun. On Sunday, November 21st, the Solemnity of Christ the King, Allison Schumacher received the habit of the Poor Clares and was named Sr. Mary Raphael of the Divine Physician. After the investiture, a Mass was celebrated at St. Ann’s Church by Bishop Robert Baker during which Sr. Raphael made her first profession of vows. Allison had been Bishop Baker’s secretary prior to entering the Poor Clares. Afterwards a reception was held at the church and was provided for by the parish. Congratulations to Sr. Raphael and to the Poor Clares in Charlotte!
