Radiating Christ

Radiating Christ copy_Fotor_

Dear Jesus,

Help to spread Your fragrance everywhere I go.

Flood my soul with Your Spirit and Life.  Penetrate and possess my whole being so utterly that my life may only be a radiance of Yours.  Shine through me and be so in me that every soul I come into contact with may feel Your presence in my soul. Let them look up, and see no longer me, but only Jesus!  Stay with me and then I will begin to shine as You shine, so to shine as to be a light to others.  The light, O Jesus, will be all from You; none of it will be mine.  It will be You, shining on others through me.

Let me preach You without preaching, not by words but by example, by the catching force, the sympathetic influence of what I do, the evident fullness of the love my heart hears for You.  Amen.

By Blessed Cardinal John Henry Newman

God our Father,

Who wills that all men be saved

and come to the knowledge of Your truth:

we beg You to send

laborers into Your harvest,

and grant them grace to speak Your Word

with all boldness; so that Your Word

may spread and be glorified,

and all nations may know You,

the only God, and Him Whom You have sent,

Jesus Christ Your Son, Our Lord.  Amen.

Our Lady, Queen of the Americas,

and Mary, Mother of the

Franciscan Missionaries of the Eternal Word,

pray for us.

Lord Jesus Christ,
Only Son of the Father,
I beg and implore you
To grant me mercy and healing
From all my infirmities.
I offer You all my sufferings
In reparation for all the sins
Of the world.
May I never suffer alone,
But with a heart
Fully united to yours.
Amen.

Father in Heaven
You know my concerns
Before ever a word
Is uttered from my lips.
I voice to You my
Utmost concerns.
Grant if it be according
To Your Perfect Will
The petition that I
Place before your Throne.
I ask this in the Holy Name
Of Jesus the Lord.
Amen.

Jesus,
I kneel before you
A broken man.
Give me Grace
To see in my
Sufferings the
Infirmitities that
You bore
For me.
May one day
The sufferings that
I endure for the
Sake of your Body
The Church
Be glorified
Just as your wounds.
Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ,
It was you who said
Ask and you will receive
Seek and you will find
Knock and the door will be opened.
Behold I stand before the door
Asking
Seeking
Knocking.
Give me insight
Into the plan you have
For my life.
I desire to serve you
And others
With an undivided heart.
Where am I to go?
Amen.

Mary, my Mother
You who said
“Do whatever he tells you”
Help me to follow
In the footsteps of
Your Son.
Intercede for me
That I may give
My life totally to Jesus
Wherever He
Leads me.
Amen.

Good Shepherd
I desire to be a laborer
In your vineyard.
Give me a heart
To help bring the
Fallen and stray
Sheep back into
The fold.
May my whole
Life be spent
Laboring simply
To bring one
Sheep back into your fold.
Amen.

=     Pray for us, O blessed father Francis,
+     That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ

Let us pray:

O LORD Jesus Christ, Who, when the world was growing cold, in order to renew in our hearts the flame of love, imprinted the sacred marks of Thy Passion on the body of our blessed father Francis, mercifully grant that by his merits and prayers we may persevere in bearing the cross and may bring forth fruits worthy of penance, You Who live and reign, world without end.

+     Amen.

O great and magnificent God, my Lord Jesus Christ, I implore thee to enlighten me and to dispel the darkness of my soul.  Give me a strong faith, firm hope, perfect charity.  And grant to me, O Lord, to know thee well enough to be able to act in all things according to thy light and in keeping with thy holy will.

Almighty and ever-living God, just and merciful Lord, grant to us miserable creatures, for your own sake, that we may know what you will, and that we may always will what pleases you; so that, externally purified and illumined within and inflamed with the fire of the Holy Spirit, we may follow in the footsteps of your dearly beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, and by your grace alone may arrive at our destination in you, O Most High, who in perfect Trinity and utterly simple Unity live and reign and are glorified, Almighty God, unto ages of ages. Amen.

Lord, I ask you for two graces before I die:  to experience in myself, as much as possible, the sufferings of your cruel Passion, and to feel for you the same love that drove you to sacrifice yourself for us.

My Lord Jesus Christ, I beg thee to grant me two graces before my death:  first, that for the rest of my life I may experience in my soul and in my body, as much as possible, the same pain that you suffered,  O sweet Jesus, during the time of thy most cruel Passion; and second, that I may feel in my heart, as much as possible, the same love which inflamed thee, the Son of God, and led thee to suffer thy passion gladly for us sinners.
